Regular Season Round 22: Hitachi SR - Osaka Evessa 91-66

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Tokyo where third ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (12-10) outscored their biggest opponent Osaka Evessa (12-10) 91-66 on Saturday. The game without a history. Hitachi Sunrockers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-18 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Forward Yuto Otsuka (188-90) fired 24 points for the winners. The former international forward Yuki Mitsuhara (198-89) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: Florida St.) produced 24 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) added 15 points and 12 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hitachi Sunrockers moved-up to second place, which they share with Sanen and Osaka Evessa. Hitachi Sunrockers will face again Osaka Evessa (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
