Regular Season Round 12: Le Mans - Nancy 85-70
Date: December 10, 2016
Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked Sluc Nancy (2-10) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Le Mans (7-5) 85-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Le Mans. Sluc Nancy was better in fourth quarter 26-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Le Mans dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Sluc Nancy's 36. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Wilfried Yeguete (201-91, college: Florida, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and Beninese power forward Mouphtaou Yarou (204-90, college: Villanova) who added 6 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Four Le Mans players scored in double figures. Le Mans' coach Erman Kunter used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Thaddus McFadden (188-87, college: Fairmont St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) with 22 points and his fellow American import forward Dario Hunt (206-89, college: Nevada) scored 9 points and 13 rebounds. Le Mans maintains fifth position with 7-5 record, which they share with Paris-Levallois and Strasbourg. Sluc Nancy lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Le Mans will face Limoges CSP Elite (#10) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Sluc Nancy will play against Hyeres-Toulon (#14) and hope to win that game.
