Regular Season Round 22: San-en - Chiba Jets 74-84

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Hamamatsu where their biggest opponent Sanen Neophoenix (12-10) was defeated by third ranked Chiba Jets (15-7) 84-74 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 48-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St.) fired 25 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The other American import forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. American swingman Josh Childress (203-83, college: Stanford) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international center Atsuya Ota (206-84) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Four Chiba Jets and five Sanen Neophoenix players scored in double figures. Sanen Neophoenix's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chiba Jets have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 15-7 record having four points less than leader SeaHorses. Sanen Neophoenix lost third consecutive game. They keep the second place with ten games lost. Chiba Jets will have a break next round. Sanen Neophoenix will play again at home against Chiba Jets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
