Regular Season Round 15: Quimper - SAP Vaucluse 72-63

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Quimper UJAP as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Souffelweyersheim) loss. Quimper UJAP defeated 15th ranked SAP Vaucluse at home 72-63. SAP Vaucluse was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Quimper UJAP forced 19 SAP Vaucluse turnovers. It was a great evening for American guard Jahsha Bluntt (198-84, college: Delaware St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Kevin Mondesir (204-91) helped adding 11 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard Deremy Geiger (180-90, college: Idaho, agency: Blacktop Management) with 26 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Jamaican forward Ricardo Alliman (201-87, college: Cedarville) scored 6 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Souffel. SAP Vaucluse lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Gries/Oberhoffen and Challans. SAP Vaucluse will play next round against Vendee Challans trying to get back on the winning streak. Quimper UJAP will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Saint Vallier on the road.
