The game in Kauhajoki was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers BC Nokia (7-9) played at the court of sixth ranked Kauhajoen Karhu (7-8). Kauhajoen Karhu managed to secure a 6-point victory 88-82 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Kammeon Holsey (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and the other American import swingman Austin Hollins (195-91, college: Minnesota) who added 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Isaiah Wilkerson (191-90, college: NJIT) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Niko Mattila (192-94) scored 22 points and 4 steals. Kauhajoen Karhu moved-up to fourth place. Loser BC Nokia dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Kauhajoen Karhu will meet at home Lapuan Korikobrat (#6) in the next round. BC Nokia will play against the league's second-placed Salon Vilpas and hope to secure a win.
