Regular Season Round 9: Roanne - Boulazac 99-102

A very close game took place in Roanne between Boulazac Basket and Chorale de Roanne. Fourteenth ranked Boulazac Basket (4-5) got a very close victory on the road over higher ranked Chorale de Roanne (5-4). Boulazac Basket managed to escape with a 3-point win 102-99 on Saturday evening. Boulazac Basket made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Arthur Rozenfeld (178-95) who recorded 31 points and 6 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and American forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) added 15 points and 15 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Chorale de Roanne's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Boulazac Basket. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Chorale de Roanne keeps the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Boulazac Basket will meet ALM Evreux (#14) on the road in the next round. Chorale de Roanne will play against the league's leader Provence Basket (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
