Regular Season Round 12: Strasbourg - Hyeres-Toulon 76-62

Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Strasbourg IG (7-5) defeated at home 11th ranked Hyeres-Toulon (5-7) 76-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Strasbourg IG. Hyeres-Toulon was better in third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strasbourg IG made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Strasbourg IG especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Polish point guard A.J. Slaughter (191-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and international center Mouhammadou Jaiteh (208-94, agency: BeoBasket) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Strasbourg IG's coach Vincent Collet used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was William Howard (201-93) with 14 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Trevis Simpson (193-91, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 13 points. Strasbourg IG have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Paris-Levallois and Le Mans. Loser Hyeres-Toulon dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Strasbourg IG will face league's leader Monaco on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Hyeres-Toulon will play against Sluc Nancy (#18) and hope to win that game.
