Very significant was Dacin Tigers' (#2, 9-3) victory against 4th placed Taiwan Beer (6-6) 71-67. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Taiwan Beer. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dacin Tigers made 10 blocks. Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-92, college: N.Mexico St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 14 rebounds and 8 blocks for the winners and guard Yi-Xiang Zhou (191-91) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was American center Bryan Davis (206-86, college: Texas A&M) with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and forward Yi-Tsung Chu (186-86) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Dacin Tigers. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fubon Braves. Defending champion Taiwan Beer keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Dacin Tigers will face Yulon Luxgen (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
