Regular Season Round 10: Polfarmex Kutno - Torun 73-81

PLK top team - Twarde Pierniki (10-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fourteenth ranked AZS Polfarmex (3-7) in Kutno 81-73. Twarde Pierniki dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to AZS Polfarmex's 22 and made 23-of-28 charity shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Twarde Pierniki forced 19 AZS Polfarmex turnovers. AZS Polfarmex was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. American-Hungarian point guard Obadiah Trotter (188-84, college: Alabama A&M) notched 17 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and American guard Kyle Weaver (198-86, college: Washington St.) supported him with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. Even 38 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds by the former international Dardan Berisha (191-88) did not help to save the game for AZS Polfarmex. Power forward Mateusz Bartosz (205-87) added 7 points, 19 rebounds and 8 assists for lost side. Twarde Pierniki have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. AZS Polfarmex at the other side keeps the fourteenth place with seven games lost. They share the position with AZS Koszalin. Twarde Pierniki will play against AZS Koszalin (#14) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. AZS Polfarmex will play against Trefl in Sopot and hopes to get back on the winning track.
