Regular Season Round 12: Torrelodones - Alcobendas 56-66

Very predictable result when eighth ranked Alcobendas (8-5) defeated on the road 14th ranked Torrelodones (2-8) 66-56 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Alcobendas. Torrelodones was better in fourth quarter 18-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Daniel Trachsel (202-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and point guard Hector Jimenez (183-94) who added 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Alcobendas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Alejandro Herreros (189-96) with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Nigerien center Serge Mourtala (212-98) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alcobendas moved-up to fifth place in Group B. Torrelodones lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with eight games lost. Alcobendas will have a break next round. Torrelodones will play on the road against La Roda (#3) and hope to win that game.
