Regular Season Round 10: Limoges - Bretagne Basket 65-78

Very predictable result when third ranked Bretagne Basket (8-2) defeated on the road 13th ranked Limoges (2-8) 78-65. The game was mostly controlled by Bretagne Basket. Limoges was better in third quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Limoges 39-21 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Pauline Lithard (168-94) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. American forward Amanda Dowe (193-91, college: Charlotte) contributed with 6 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. U.S. Virgin Islands-American swingman Natalie Day (182-90, college: Portland) replied with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Rose Ducret (169-96) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Limoges. Limoges' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bretagne Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-2 record behind leader Avenir. Limoges at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with eight games lost. Bretagne Basket's next round opponent will be league's leader Avenir in Chartres and it will be for sure the game of the week. Limoges will play on the road against Arras (#4) and hope to win that game.
