Regular Season Round 15: CFBB - Orchies 60-77

Bottom-ranked CFBB is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 15th consecutive match to twelfth ranked Orchesien BC (8-7) 77-60 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Orchesien BC. CFBB was better in third quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Orchesien BC forced 23 CFBB turnovers. CFBB was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American point guard Benjamin Smith (178-87, college: Jacksonville) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 6 assists. Hugo Dumortier (195-93) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Orchesien BC players scored in double figures. Point guard Yanik Blanc (184-99) answered with 11 points and guard Theo Maledon (191-1) added 7 points and 4 assists in the effort for CFBB. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Orchesien BC have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser CFBB still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Orchesien BC will face Gries/Oberhoffen (#15) in Bischwiller in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CFBB will play on the road against Lorient and hopes to get finally their first victory.
