Regular Season Round 14: Palma - Breogan 96-86

An interesting game took place in S'Arenal where higher ranked Leche Rio Breogan (9-5) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Palma (7-7) 96-86. The game was mostly controlled by Palma. Leche Rio Breogan was better in fourth quarter 31-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Palma had a 26-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Point guard Carles Bivia (189-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 6 assists. Power forward Roger Fornas (202-82) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Palma players scored in double figures. Point guard Josep Franch (193-91) replied with 25 points and Nigerian-American forward Michael Fakuade (201-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Leche Rio Breogan. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Palma moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Melilla. Leche Rio Breogan at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Palma's next round opponent will be league's leader Oviedo CB on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Leche Rio Breogan will play against Araberri and hope to win that game.
