Regular Season Round 14: Kotwica - Rosa II Radom 69-65

There was no surprise in Kolobrzeg where 14th ranked Rosa II Radom (4-10) was defeated by eleventh ranked Kotwica (6-8) 69-65 on Sunday. Kotwica forced 23 Rosa II Radom turnovers. Strangely Rosa II Radom outrebounded Kotwica 38-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Point guard Pawel Dzierzak (188-95) had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Pawel Pawlowski (196-82) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Forward Maciej Bojanowski (200-96) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Filip Zegzula (188-94) scored 12 points and 7 assists. Rosa II Radom's coach Karol Gutkowski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kotwica moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Biofarm PZN and SKK Siedlce. Loser Rosa II Radom keeps the fourteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Astoria Bydg.. Kotwica will meet Znicz Basket (#12) in the next round. Rosa II Radom will play against the league's leader Sokol Lancut and will have a slim chance for a victory.
