Regular Season Round 8: Kronos AD - Proteas 59-74

Very expected game when 11th ranked Kronos AD (1-7) lost at home to sixth ranked Proteas (4-3) 74-59. Proteas outrebounded Kronos AD 43-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Canadian-Serbian forward Stephany Skrba (188-87, college: Michigan) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Point guard Evgenia Kollatou (172-98) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Proteas players scored in double figures. Proteas' coach Ioannis Ktistakis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Australian forward Alex Sheedy (185-92, college: Fresno St.) produced 25 points and 8 rebounds and forward Maria Avtzi (172-90) added 9 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the hosts. Proteas moved-up to fourth place. Kronos AD at the other side keeps the eleventh position with seven games lost. Proteas' next round opponent will be Niki Lefkadas (#8) at home. Kronos AD will play against Athinaikos in Athens and hope to win that game.
