The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 18-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Lithuanian power forward Gintare Mazionyte (188-91, college: Texas) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Valentina Bonasia (164-94) contributed with 19 points for the winners. The former international guard Cinzia Arioli (178-84, agency: LBM Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and Francesca Russo (178-96) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for San Salvatore. Orvieto moved-up to fifth place. Loser San Salvatore dropped to the seventh position with six games lost.
