Regular Season Round 8: Niki Lefkadas - Terpsithea 98-65

Date: December 11, 2016
No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Niki Lefkadas (4-4) crushed at home bottom-ranked Terpsithea (1-7) 98-65. Niki Lefkadas players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Terpsithea's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Elan Brown (183-91, college: Vanderbilt) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Antigoni Chairistanidou (188-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Niki Lefkadas players scored in double figures. American point guard Samaria Howard (170-94, college: Tenn Tech) produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Stephanie Gardner (170, college: ODU) added 16 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Niki Lefkadas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Terpsithea lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Niki Lefkadas' next round opponent will be higher ranked Proteas (#4) in Voula and it may be quite challenging game. Terpsithea will play at home against the league's leader Olympiacos (#1) and hope to win that game.
