Regular Season Round 22: Yamanashi QB - Hitachi Cougars 75-82

Bottom-ranked Yamanashi QB (0-20) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 20th consecutive match to ninth ranked Hitachi Cougars (6-14) 82-75. The guests were already 14 points ahead at halftime and as many as 21 after three quarters before a 30-16 last quarter charge of Yamanashi QB cut the lead to 82-75 at the end of the game. Hitachi Cougars players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Yamanashi QB's players. Power forward Chika Suzuki (183-93) notched 27 points to lead the effort and guard Yagi Kasumi (163-92) supported her with 17 points and 4 assists. Even 27 points by guard Miki Huzii (165-87) did not help to save the game for Yamanashi QB. Forward Misa Yokoi (170-88) added 14 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hitachi Cougars moved-up to eighth place. Newly promoted Yamanashi QB still closes the standings. Hitachi Cougars will play against Haneda Vickies (#9) in Tokyo in the next round. Yamanashi QB will play on the road against Aishin Wings in Anjo and hopes to get finally their first victory.
