Regular Season Round 12: Roma Vis Nova - Roma Luiss 94-87

There was an upset when higher ranked Roma Luiss (8-4) lost on the road to thirteenth ranked Roma Vis Nova (4-7) 94-87 on Sunday. Roma Vis Nova made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Roma Luiss were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Matteo Pierangeli (201-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Giulio Casale (187-91) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Power forward Francesco Ramenghi (209-92) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Andrea Scuderi (188-92) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Roma Luiss. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Roma Vis Nova moved-up to eleventh place in B.
