And finally the game worth to mention about is the one where seventh ranked Joventut LC (7-4) rolled over 4th placed Cortegada (6-4) in a home game by 25 points 79-54 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Joventut LC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Joventut LC forced 19 Cortegada turnovers and outrebounded them 38-23 including 23 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Nerea Garmendia who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Eliana Soriano chipped in 9 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Joventut LC's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Sara Gomez (172-86) produced 14 points and 5 rebounds and Senegalese center Amy Syll (196-93) added 14 points respectively for the guests. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Joventut LC. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Cortegada dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Cortegada will play at home against GDKO Bizkaia (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
