No shocking result in a game in Dongguan where third ranked Guandong Tigers (13-3) defeated 15th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (4-12) 103-96 on Sunday. Guandong Tigers shot 25 for 34 from the free-throw line, while Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank only scored five points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 5 assists and power forward JunFei Ren (203-90) who added 22 points and 6 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) during the contest. At the losing side international guard Qian Wu (190-94) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Lu Yiwen (199-95) scored 17 points. Four Guandong Tigers and five Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guandong Tigers have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Xinjiang FT and Guangsha L. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Jiangsu TX. Guandong Tigers will meet Jiangsu TX (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Leopards in Shenzhen and hope to secure a win.
