No shocking result in a game when twelfth ranked Latina Basket (6-6) edged at home 14th ranked Viola RC (4-8) 93-90 on Sunday. Latina Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Keron DeShields (190-92, college: Tennessee St.) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and the former international guard Roberto Rullo (193-90, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists during the contest. Four Latina Basket players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds (on 16-of-20 shooting from the field) and American-Jordanian guard Alex Legion (195-88, college: FIU, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 20 points and 5 rebounds. Latina Basket moved-up to tenth place in A2. Loser Viola RC dropped to the fifteenth position with eight games lost. Latina Basket will face Novipiu Casale (#14) on the road in the next round. Viola RC will play against Lighthouse TR and hope to win that game.
