Very expected game in Changchun where 20th ranked North Control (3-13) was defeated by eighth ranked Jilin Tigers (9-7) 131-123 on Sunday. Jilin Tigers shot 61.5 percent from the field and made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Jilin Tigers had a 36-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Jabari Brown (193-92, college: Missouri) who helped to win the game recording 45 points (!!!) and 4 assists and Iranian point guard Mahdi Kamrani (181-82) who added 26 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Jilin Tigers players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen) responded with 52 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Xining He (193-97) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jilin Tigers have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Beijing D. and Shandong FB. North Control lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Jilin Tigers will meet higher ranked Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. North Control will play against Liaoning Hunters (#5) in Yingkou and hope to secure a win.
