There was an upset when higher ranked Ravenna (7-5) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Imola (5-7) 96-91 on Sunday. Imola outrebounded Ravenna 46-24 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Michele Maggioli (212-77) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and American point guard Travis Cohn (188-89, college: Jacksonville) who added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Taylor Smith (199-91, college: SF Austin) with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks and his fellow American import point guard Derrick Marks (190-93, college: Boise St.) scored 17 points. Five Ravenna players scored in double figures. Imola moved-up to ninth place in A2. Loser Ravenna dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Imola will face higher ranked Piacenza (#8) in Casalpusterlengo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
