Regular Season Round 12: Albacete - Valladolid 61-77

Very expected game when 12th ranked Albacete (4-8) lost at home to seventh ranked Blancos de Rueda (7-5) 77-61. The game was mostly controlled by Blancos de Rueda. Albacete was better in fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Blancos de Rueda made 23-of-30 charity shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Albacete only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Albacete 44-28 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. 26 personal fouls committed by Albacete helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was center Sergio De La Fuente (198-89) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds. British forward Rowell Graham (197-94) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Cuban forward Georvys Elias (199-81) who recorded 16 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Kris Davis (188-93, college: SIU Edwardsville) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Blancos de Rueda moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Cambados and Zornotza. Newly promoted Albacete keeps the twelfth position with eight games lost. Blancos de Rueda's next round opponent will be L'Hospitalet (#14) at home and are hoping to win another game. Albacete will play against Cambados and hope to win that game.
