Regular Season Round 14: AZS KU PO - Rybnik 58-57

Important game to mention about took place in Opole. Sixth ranked AZS KU PO (7-4) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 5th ranked Rybnik (7-6) 58-57 in the game for the fifth place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rybnik. Point guard Krzysztof Chmielarz (180-88) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Bartosz Koszela (201-89) chipped in 18 points and 6 steals during the contest. Center Tomasz Czajkowski (204-82) responded with 10 points and 9 rebounds and forward Krzysztof Zielinski (192-82) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. AZS KU PO moved-up to fifth place in Group C. Rybnik at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. AZS KU PO will play against Zaglebie (#11) in Sosnowiec in the next round where they are favorite. Rybnik will play at home against MKS DG 2 (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
