Regular Season Round 23: Iwate Big Bulls - Kagawa FA 68-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Kagawa FA's (6-16) road victory over 6th ranked Iwate Big Bulls (3-19) 73-68 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning two of next three quarters and won the game by 5 points. The best player for the winners was American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Vincentian power forward Nyika Williams (203-87, college: Pacific) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Koji Nagata (180-81) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and American power forward Nicchaeus Doaks (201-87, college: Chattanooga) added 10 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Iwate Big Bulls' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kagawa FA have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 6-16 record, which they share with Shinshu BW and Bambitious Nara. Iwate Big Bulls lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 19 games lost. Kagawa FA will face Aomori Watts (#5) at home in the next round. Iwate Big Bulls will play against Kagoshima in Renova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
