2Liga top team - Slask (13-0) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eighth ranked Miedzychod (4-9) in Wroclaw 82-69. Point guard Jakub Musial (186-98) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Power forward Aleksander Dziewa (206-97) contributed with 7 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Marcin Chodkiewicz (200-82, agency: Promotex) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and center Lukasz Kwiatkowski (207-79) added 18 points and 13 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) in the effort for Miedzychod. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Slask have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group D with 13-0 record. Miedzychod lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with nine games lost. Slask will face Rawia (#5) in Rawicz in the next round. Miedzychod will play on the road against Otmuchow (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
