There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Albino (5-6) was edged at home by tenth ranked Virtus Cagliari (4-7) 63-60 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Albino won third quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Albino 41-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Guard Chiara Rossi (170-88, agency: LBM Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Elisa Templari (172-89, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 23 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Croatian guard Lana Packovski (170-94) answered with 12 points and 8 assists and the former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) added 7 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Albino. Virtus Cagliari maintains tenth place with 4-7 record. Loser Albino dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Virtus Cagliari will face league's second-placed Empoli at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
