No shocking result in a game in Sao Paolo where third ranked Pinheiros (6-4) defeated 13th ranked Liga Sorocaba (2-7) 80-63. Pinheiros dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Liga Sorocaba's 38. American guard Desmond Holloway (191-90, college: Co.Carolina) nailed 16 points and 6 assists for the winning side and center Ralfi Ansaloni (211-87) accounted for 8 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Alexandre de Souza (202-92) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and Ted Bento (199-80) added 17 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Liga Sorocaba in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Pinheiros maintains third place with 6-4 record behind leader Flamengo.
