An interesting game where host Hap.Petah Tikva (#8) won against 5th ranked Hapoel Z/MM 66-53 on Monday evening. Hap.Petah Tikva forced 22 Hapoel Z/MM turnovers. The game was also dominated by American players. Guard Nikki Dixon (178-93, college: Clemson) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and forward Ruvanna Campbell (190, college: Ill.-Chicago) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Alex Harden (180-93, college: Wichita St.) responded with 10 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kim Demmings (173-92, college: Wright St.) scored 4 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Hap.Petah Tikva (2-3) moved-up to sixth place. Newly promoted Hapoel Z/MM dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with H.R. Le-Zion. Hap.Petah Tikva will meet higher ranked Ramat Hasharon (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hapoel Z/MM will play against the league's leader Bnot Hertzeliya and hope to win that game.
