Very important is a road loss of third ranked Weber Bahia (11-7) against seventh ranked La Union (10-12) on Tuesday night. Visiting Weber Bahia was crushed by La Union in Formosa 97-78. La Union players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American-Jamaican center Torin Francis (210-83, college: Notre Dame) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Alejandro Konsztadt (191-89) helped adding 9 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. American center Anthony Laveal Johnson (203-88, college: Fairfield) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and the former international Hernan Jasen (199-78) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Weber Bahia's coach Sebastian Ginobili rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. La Union maintains seventh place with 10-12 record, which they share with Penarol. Weber Bahia at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. La Union will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Weber Bahia will play on the road against Regatas Corrientes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
