Regular Season Round 15: BC Lulea - Nassjo 83-61

Basketligan top team - BC Lulea (10-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Nassjo (5-9) 83-61. The game was mostly controlled by BC Lulea. Nassjo was better in third quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Lulea shot 23 for 31 from the free-throw line, while Nassjo only scored six points from the stripe. They outrebounded Nassjo 40-27 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Nassjo was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for point guard Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points. Canadian forward Yannick Anzuluni (205-87, college: Houghton) helped adding 8 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward William Gutenius (205-92) with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Lithuanian forward Mantas Griskenas (200-85, college: Wichita St., agency: Dynamics Global Management) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Lulea maintains first place with 10-3 record. Nassjo lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. BC Lulea will play against Uppsala Basket (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nassjo will play against Boras Basket (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
