Regular Season Round 10: Ramat Hasharon - Hapoel Afula 60-104

The game with biggest result difference took place in Ramat Hasharon. Local Hasharon (3-7) was outscored by eleventh ranked Hapoel Afula (5-5) 104-60. Hapoel Afula shot 66.1 percent from the field. Hapoel Afula had a 29-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Hapoel Afula players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Hasharon's players. Guard Omer Tal (188-92) notched 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and American forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-91, college: Akron) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Five Hapoel Afula players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 6 assists by Rom Cornelius (197-93) did not help to save the game for Hasharon. Center Moti Moscovitz (204-85) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hapoel Afula moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Ironi K-A. Hasharon lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with seven games lost. Hapoel Afula's next round opponent will be Ironi Kiryat Ata (#9) at home. Hasharon will play against Maccabi Rehovot (#10) and hope to win that game.
