Very predictable result when second ranked Guandong Tigers (14-3) rolled over on the road 15th ranked Jiangsu TX (4-13) 116-97. Guandong Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu TX's 50. The best player for the winners was American power forward Carlos Boozer (206-80, college: Duke) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 30 points. Four Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. Nigerian-American power forward Ikechukwu Diogu (204-83, college: Arizona St.) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds and American guard Jared Cunningham (193-91, college: Oregon St.) added 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the twelfth consecutive win for Guandong Tigers. They maintain second place with 14-3 record having just two points less than leader Shanghai S., which they share with Xinjiang FT and Guangsha L. Jiangsu TX at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 13 games lost. Guandong Tigers' next round opponent will be Jiangsu Dragons (#12) in Nanjing and are hoping to win another game. Jiangsu TX will play at home against Leopards and hope to win that game.
