Regular Season Round 3: Piestanske C. - SBS Ostrava 106-64

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Czech SBS Ostrava's (2-2) road loss to Slovakian Piestanske C. (3-0) 64-106. The game without a history. Piestanske C. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Piestanske C. forced 26 SBS Ostrava turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by SBS Ostrava's players. It was a good game for center Rebeka Mikulasikova (189-99) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds. American center Monique Oliver (188-91, college: Rutgers) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Piestanske C. players scored in double figures. American guard Briyona Canty (175-93, college: Rutgers) answered with 19 points and 4 assists and the other American import guard Danielle Butts (178-92, college: N.Carolina) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for SBS Ostrava. SBS Ostrava's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Piestanske C. will play against Flying Foxes (#5) in Wien in the next round. SBS Ostrava will play at home against Kvarner and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
