Everything went according to plan in Junin where fifth ranked Argentino (11-9) beat 10th ranked Echague (3-19) 80-70 on Wednesday. Argentino dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Echague's 30 and made 35-of-43 free shots (81.4 percent) during the game, while Echague only scored seventeen points from the stripe. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Novar Gadson (201-89, college: Rider, agency: DTMones) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import power forward Chaz Crawford (207-84, college: Drexel, agency: DTMones) who added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks during the contest. The best for the losing side was Panamanian forward Josimar Ayarza (205-87, college: S.Mississippi) with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Brandon Davis (198-88, college: Lamar, agency: Pro Sports) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Echague's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Argentino moved-up to third place, which they share with Weber Bahia. Echague lost seventeenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 19 games lost. Argentino will face Atenas (#9) in Cordoba in the next round where they are favorite. Echague will play on the road against Obras Basket in Buenos Aires and hope to win that game.
