The game in Gevgelija was also quite interesting. 4th placed Montenegrin Teodo Tivat (3-4) played at the court of sixth ranked FYR Macedonian Kozuv (2-5). Kozuv managed to secure a 5-point victory 81-76 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 44-36 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American point guard Kenyon McNeaill (185-91, college: Louisiana Tech) stepped up and scored 31 points and 5 assists for the winners and his fellow American import guard Larry Hall (190-83, college: W.Oregon) chipped in 13 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. The best for the losing side was Serbian guard Milan Stanojevic (183-86, college: E.Washington, agency: Mansfield and Associates) with 22 points and guard Milos Djurisic (194-88) scored 18 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kozuv maintains sixth place in Group A with 2-5 record. Teodo Tivat lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with four games lost. Kozuv will meet higher ranked Sigal Prishtina (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Teodo Tivat will play against Sigal Prishtina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
