Regular Season Round 15: Forca Lleida - FC Barcelona II 71-64

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Lleida Basquet (10-5) defeated at home bottom-ranked Barca II (2-13) 71-64 on Friday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 28-19. But Barca II won third quarter 14-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American guard Garrett Nevels (188-92, college: Hawaii) who scored 21 points. Brazilian forward Leonardo Demetrio (203-94) chipped in 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Lleida Basquet players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Jordi Trias (208-80) who recorded 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Guyanese-Serbian guard Stefan Peno (198-97) added 13 points respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lleida Basquet moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Burgos and Araberri. Barca II lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. Lleida Basquet will face Ourense (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Barca II will play against Leche Rio Breogan (#8) and hope to win that game.
