We should mention about the upset which took place in Castellon, where 4th placed Leyma Basquet (9-6) lost to thirteenth ranked Castello (6-9) in a road game 82-88. Leyma Basquet was ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 25-15 charge of Castello, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for guard Borja Arevalo (195-91) who led the winners and scored 8 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Sergio Rodriguez (195-93) accounted for 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Arevalo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Dominican swingman Dagoberto Pena (198-88, college: Marshall, agency: Duran International) came up with 26 points and American guard Zach Monaghan (188-92, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: Duran International) added 5 points and 7 assists respectively for Leyma Basquet in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Castello maintains thirteenth place with 6-9 record, which they share with Prat. Leyma Basquet at the other side dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Castello's next round opponent will be Marin (#17) on the road.
