Regular Season Round 19: Karlovka - Inter Bratislava 57-82

SBL top team - Inter Bratislava (16-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Karlovka (5-13) 82-57. Inter Bratislava dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Karlovka's 18. They outrebounded Karlovka 43-24 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for the former international power forward Radoslav Rancik (205-79, college: St.Cloud St., agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. The former international swingman Martin Bilik (194-87) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward David Abraham (190-96) answered with 16 points and forward Michal Kozar (191-90) added 10 points in the effort for Karlovka. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Inter Bratislava. They maintain first place with 16-2 record. Karlovka lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 13 games lost. Inter Bratislava will face Levice (#4) on the road in the next round. Karlovka will play against Prievidza (#3) and hope to win that game.
