Regular Season Round 15: Syntex Ksiezak - Zubry 73-67

Not a big story in a game in Lowicz where 10th ranked Zubry (6-9) was defeated by first ranked Syntex Ksiezak (13-2) 73-67 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a great evening for forward Mariusz Wojcik (200-79) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Point guard Bartosz Wluczynski (176-88) helped adding 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was Arkadiusz Zabielski (197-84) with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds and power forward Marcin Monach (201-80) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Syntex Ksiezak. They maintain first place with 13-2 record, which they share with KK Warszawa. Newly promoted Zubry keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Syntex Ksiezak will face Shmoolky W-wa (#8) in Warszawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Zubry will play at home against AZS PS Kielce and hope to win that game.
