Regular Season Round 11: Belfast Star - UCC Demons 95-84

UCC Demons (#4) were upset in Belfast by seventh ranked Belfast Star 95-84. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Dillon Stith (200, college: St.Vincent) who led the winners and scored 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds. Guard Fearghal Toner (190-83) accounted for 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. International point guard Kyle Hosford (175-89) came up with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and international guard Ciaran O'Sullivan (193-90) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively for UCC Demons in the defeat. Four UCC Demons players scored in double figures. Belfast Star maintains seventh place with 4-6 record. Defending champion UCC Demons dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Tralee. Belfast Star will play against bottom-ranked UL Eagles (#12) in Limerick in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. UCC Demons will play on the road against Tralee (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
