Regular Season Round 6: Toyoda Gosei - Tokyo Cinq R. 39-63

Very expected game when 9th ranked Toyoda Gosei (1-9) was smashed by fifth ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (9-13) in Aichi 63-39 on Saturday. The game without a history. Tokyo Cinq R. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Toyoda Gosei to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Tokyo Cinq R. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Toyoda Gosei's 30. It was a good game for American forward Brennan McElroy (201-91, college: Indianapolis, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward R.J. Slawson (206-92, college: Jacksonville) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American center Matthew Kendrick (215-90, college: St.Leo) replied with 6 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and Senegalese center Abibou Toure (202-90) added 5 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Toyoda Gosei. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tokyo Cinq R. maintains fifth position with 9-13 record. Loser Toyoda Gosei stay at the bottom place with nine games lost.
