Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Shiga L-Stars (6-18) were defeated at home by first ranked Toshiba Thunders (21-3) 88-82 on Saturday. Shiga L-Stars trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 28-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 82-88 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 9 rebounds and international point guard Ryusei Shinoyama (178-88) who added 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Toshiba Thunders' coach Takuya Kita used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was Zimbabwean-American Julian Mavunga (203-90, college: Miami, OH, agency: Pensack Sports) with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Samba Faye (205-87) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Toshiba Thunders have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-3 record. Loser Shiga L-Stars dropped to the fifth place with 18 games lost.
