There was a small surprise in Alicante where sixth ranked Cazorla (5-6) won against 3rd placed Meridiano Baza (5-6) 82-73 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-73. American forward Vadal Faniel (201-92, college: Texas A&M Int.) fired 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import forward Andrew Kelly (201-91, college: Alaska-Fairb.) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Center Jorge Rodriguez (198-94) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds and point guard David Garcia (180-93) added 17 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Meridiano Baza's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cazorla moved-up to fourth place in Group D-A, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Meridiano Baza. Meridiano Baza lost fourth consecutive game. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
