Regular Season Round 13: Estela - Easo 94-55

Everything went according to plan in Santander where leader Estela (11-0) outleveled 3rd placed Easo (8-3) 94-55 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-55. Estela forced 19 Easo turnovers and outrebounded them 35-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. Estela looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Easo's players. Pablo Sanchez (198-81) fired 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American guard Riley Stockton (192-92, college: Seattle Pacific) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Asier Azpeitia (192-98) produced 8 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Jon Urtxulutegi (201-96) added 11 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Estela have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A-A with 11-0 record. Loser Easo keeps the third position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
