Bottom-ranked Hoops Club (0-4) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to seventh ranked Mayrouba (2-2) 82-72 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 23-9 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Venezuelan point guard Calvin Cage (183-84, college: Buffalo) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 4 assists and American forward John Bohannon (210-91, college: UTEP) who added 9 points, 21 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side international point guard Ali Mezher (182-94) responded with 32 points and 8 assists and American center Darrius Garrett (206-90, college: Richmond) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Mayrouba moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Hoops Club still closes the standings with four games lost. Mayrouba will face league's leader Homenetmen in Beirut in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Hoops Club will play on the road against the league's second-placed Byblos (#2) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
