The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Dublin: Templeogue (#1) and Swords Thunder (#2). Templeogue (11-0) won against visiting Swords Thunder (9-2) 78-71. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Swords Thunder. They outrebounded Swords Thunder 45-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for international point guard Lorcan Murphy (182-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds. The former international center Jason Killeen (211-85, college: Augusta) helped adding 18 points and 17 rebounds. The former international point guard Isaac Westbrooks (189-85) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and Spanish center Jose Maria Gil (207-91, agency: Dynamics Global Management) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Swords Thunder players scored in double figures. Templeogue have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Swords Thunder at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. Templeogue are looking forward to face DCU Saints (#9) in Dublin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Swords Thunder will play at home against Killester (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
