The game in Saitama was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Aisin AW (5-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Saitama Broncos (3-19). Aisin AW managed to secure a 9-point victory 97-88 on Saturday. Saitama Broncos were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Aisin AW made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for guard Kyouhei Kumazawa (180-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists. Point guard Kei Kato (172-93) contributed with 21 points for the winners. American guard Brent Jennings (193-88, college: So.Poly State, agency: Interperformances) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Masaya Ueda (177-93) added 19 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots) in the effort for Saitama Broncos. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aisin AW maintains sixth position with 5-7 record. Loser Saitama Broncos keep the seventh place with 19 games lost. Aisin AW will face higher ranked Tokyo HT (#3) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
